Lynn Foley:
One of Michigan’s first and finest nurse attorneys.

Lynn Foley is a nurse-attorney who, for the past 33 years, has specialized in plaintiff’s medical malpractice litigation. Lynn’s career path as a nurse–attorney was unique, as she was one of the first nurse-attorneys in Michigan to devote her career to helping victims of medical malpractice. She was one of the founding members of the Michigan Association of Nurse Attorneys. She has also been a general member, Executive Board appointee and medical malpractice subcommittee member of the Michigan Association for Justice (MAJ) for over 25 years. As an Executive Board appointee, Lynn helps lead the organization toward attaining its goal of standing up for the rights of victims of personal injury and medical malpractice. Lynn was also a past appointee to the Steering Committee of the Negligence Section of the State Bar of Michigan where she led the effort to organize a scholarship program at all Michigan law schools.

Lynn attended the nationally recognized School of Nursing at The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor from 1976 thru 1980, attaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Upon graduation, Lynn worked part-time as an RN at a number of local hospitals while attending law school at Wayne State University in Detroit full time. Since graduation from law school in 1983, Lynn has specialized in plaintiff’s medical malpractice litigation.

During her 33-year career, Lynn has handled hundreds of medical malpractice cases, first while working at a large personal injury law firm located in Southfield, and later as one of the founding partners of a Livonia law firm as head of the firm's medical malpractice department, overseeing a staff of attorneys, paralegals and administrative assistants all of whom assisted her as the lead litigation counsel on every medical malpractice case. Lynn personally handled a number of cases with record setting results. Currently, Lynn is working as the founder and head of Lynn Foley Law where she will continue to use her knowledge and experience as an RN and attorney to help attain the best possible result for her clients.
